Below is a tassel made from the Jazz Tassel Kit. I decorated the plain wooden tassel top with paints to coordinate with the multicolored fibers of the skirt.

Each tassel kit comes with everything you need to make a fast, funky, fabulous tassel. You get a Fibers in a Bag collection for making the tassel skirt, wooden parts for making the tassel top, and complete illustrated instructions. All you have to provide is a pair of scissors, a piece of cardboard and a little craft glue.

The tassel top pieces you receive in each kit are unfinished, but you'll probably want to finish yours with paint, decoupage, antiquing or crackle finish, etc.

You can use one of the fibers in the tassel kit for a hanging cord, or you could use rattail cord, decorative cord, ribbon, etc.

Your finished tassel will be 8" long, plus the length of the hanging cord. (The skirt is 6" long, the wooden tassel top is 2" long, and the hanging cord will be whatever length you choose.)

Add embellishments such as charms, beads, ribbon, or lace to your tassel, making it even more unique!
